Q: Although my contour part is displayed in the imos Manager, it is not displayed in CAD. What do I have to do?

A: In most cases it helps to call the AutoCAD command PURGE. Afterwards just refresh all elements and the part should be displayed. other wise go to visu manager and increase the modus and check .

Q: How can I avoid that all connectors or inner parts of the planning are displayed, although I displayed only one article isolated.

A: That only happens if you switch in the Visu Manager connectors/ internal parts to invisible before isolating the article. If you turn on later the visibility of connectors/ internal parts, the described effect is caused .

To avoid this effect, use the following procedure :Isolate the article when connectors/ internal parts are (still) visible. Turn off the visibility of connectors/ internal parts just when the article is already isolated. If switch on the connectors/ internal parts now, only the connectors/ internal parts of the isolated article are displayed.

Q: Textures displayed as “realistic” in the visualization are not visible ?

A: If textures displayed as “realistic” in the visualization are not visible, the reason could be the graphic power setting .In that case, please check the following setting:

Right-click the “Graphic power” symbol in the AutoCAD status bar

Then click Graphic power and select the check box “High-resolution textures” in the following dialog box ...Capture4.JPG

Now the textures displayed as “realistic” in the visualization will be visible.Picture1.jpg

Q: When I draw a 2D Plan View, I only get the text "Plan View". But there are no plan view lines. What can I do?

A: First of all enable the checkbox "Background lines" in the dialog "Refresh View", otherwise you just see the labeling of the plan view.

Q: How can I update all sections of my drawing at the same time?

A: Basically, the process is that the function 'Refresh View' or 'Refresh Section' is called.

Afterward you have to select all section that have to be updated, with a left or right mouse selection. End the selection with a right mouse click.

Afterward all selected sections are regenerated with its saved settings.

Q: How can I display the hardware ex. Hinge, in elevation view drawings?

A: To display the door hinge in an elevation view drawing, it is necessary to set the checkmark for "2D Symbols" in the section options when generating the view.

Q: After opening a saved order the drawing is empty. Why is that and what can I do?

A: This may be because the order has been saved in the "Quick Part Dimensioning" mode. In that case the layer are frozen in the background.Capture5.JPG

To see all elements of the order again, you have to unfreeze them. Therefore click on the correspondent layer in the column "Freeze", so that the symbol of the sun appears.Capture6.JPG

Q: As of late, the DWG file sizes of recently saved orders have become too big. What is the cause and how can I make the file size smaller?

A: Probably, someone altered the IMOS.DWT file (a template for all new orders) and forgot to purge all unnecessary drawing objects with the command PURGE.
